Introductory Wingboarding
Newly added in 2024, the Introductory Wingboarding class is designed for beginners (ages 13+), with additional courses planned to further develop your skills in this exciting new sport.
Two versions of this class are currently offered:
Intro Wingboarding is designed with a condensed (1-day) format tailored to individuals with prior experience windsurfing. Windsurfing experience is required for this class. Please call our office at 650-965-7474 before registering if you are unsure of whether or not you qualify for this class.
Beginner Wingboarding utilizes an expanded (2-day) curriculum geared towards individuals with no prior experience in boardsports.
Prerequisites: Students must be comfortable swimming and treading water. For the 1-day Intro Wingboarding course, prior experience windsurfing is required.
What To Bring
Students should bring comfortable clothes, a bathing suit to wear under the wetsuit, a jacket or fleece, a towel, lots of sun protection, a lanyard to secure their glasses around their heads, a bottle of water, and non-skid/non-marking shoes to wear while windsurfing (they will get WET – tennis shoes, aqua socks, or Teva sandals work great).
Important: Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your class to check in.
